 Sweet, medium-bake white wheatflour biscuits with milk and malt. Different makers use slightly different decorations, but all are rectangular and have the image of a cow in the centre and a border of stylized grain sheaves, often including the words 'MALTED MILK'. Typically 21/2ins x 11/2ins x 1/4 ins thick.  Possibly devised by Elkes Biscuits of Uttoxeter (now owned by Fox's Biscuits) in 1924, but this requires confirmation.  |
